The future is here now. All we need to do is embrace it.
Not even a year ago would I have thought that I would be writing this post from a phone just by sliding my finger across it? I’m typing, actually sliding this post onto my blog using a keyboard modifier called Swype on my android phone. This is innovation in the palm of my hand.
I picked up this phone for practically nothing compared to the iPhone, which would have cost me over 200 dollars. It gives me practically the same functionality as the much more closed iPhone, but as it is more open and extensible, then the possibilities are endless.
As William Gibson wrote, “the future is here just not evenly distributed” we are starting to see this in the palm of our hands.
